Wine Pairing in Coffee Bean Bistro? Why not?!

Brace yourselves for a whole new experience at your favorite Coffee Shop.  The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf Bistro at 26th street in Bonifacio Global City now offers Wine Pairing.  But don’t get deceived by their selection, it’s not only cocktails and light snacks, but something that will definitely fill your tummy.


Let’s start off with an Italian Antipasti of Burratta, Fresh Tomatoes and Basil.  The platter consists of a big, firm ball of Caprezze Buffalo Cheese, tomato slices, basil leaves, sour dough bread and candied walnut. Set up your own sandwich with these, or simply mix olive oil and vinegar as dip for your bread and sweetened nuts. It’s the perfect start to your wine session.


You may also opt to kickoff your wine session with a filling dinner instead. For the hungrier diners, there’s Loco Moco, Grilled Teriyaki Salmon and Steak in Marsala Sauce. For those looking for a heavy meal, Loco Moco is perfect for you. It’s grilled USDA burger steak cooked Hawaiian style, topped with caramelized onion drenched in rum gravy, and covered with a sunny side up egg.  It sure is a complete rice meal. Not your ordinary burger steak meal as CBTL has come up with its very own recipe. We are certain that the burger steak is 100% meat with no extenders.  Add on the grilled, sliced pineapples to balance off the flavor, and finish off the meaty Loco Moco.

For diners on the healthier side craving for rice, Grilled Teriyaki Salmon is your best bet.  It has a generous serving of grilled salmon fillet drizzled with teriyaki sauce, with buttered vegetable and forbidden rice on the side.  Forbidden rice is black rice incorporated with teriyaki sauce for added flavor. Now, the health conscious can indulge in a sweet-salty full meal without the guilt.


CBTL is not new to serving pasta.  In the wine pairing menu, they have Prosciutto Pasta with Cream.   Similar to carbonara, it is prosciutto imported from Italy and spaghettini in creamy white sauce.  It is topped with a poached egg that when broken, oozes and adds more flavor to the cream.  Enjoy this pasta dish with a bit of arugula and sour dough on the side.


Last on their Wine Pairing menu is Steak in Marsala Sauce.  It is a generous dish of USDA  steak and mashed potato with a rosemary demi-glace.  They used Marsala wine for the gravy which infuses a unique flavor that compliments the juicy steak.  High-grade steak and your favorite red wine, talk about a good pairing!


Now, who wouldn’t be excited to try something different from everyone’s favorite coffee shop?  Aside from CBTL’s well-loved lattes, blended iced drinks, and pastries, their wine pairing menu is another reason to ask your crush out on a date or hangout with friends.
