Beeffalo by Hotrocks has been serving classic family recipes from couple-owners Louie and Girlie Abad since 2013, together with their long-time business partner Caren Diaz. The trio goes way back the times of Hotrocks in Libis, hence the tag-along name in this venture. They are a pioneer in the Marikina food scene and well-known for their pizzas, steaks, and ribs. The years are a testament to the approval given by loyal patrons and new customers seeking for delicious and no-frills comfort food.
They have also opened their newest branch at Hoover Street in San Juan mid-2017 with a more streamlined menu that features their best-sellers that are a sure fire hit for every family or barkada that visits them! Now, the Abad’s son, Gabie is in charge of operations and has given a breath of contemporary energy to the expanding business, while keeping the essence of home and family in it.
Gabie’s mark can already be seen with this gargantuan burger which they designed for their San Juan branch. The Three Cheese Pounder Burger (PHP 789) is a creation made of a 10-inch custom-made burger bun filled with two half-pound all-beef patties, a special 3-cheese melt sauce, mojos, a side salad, and iced tea.
This monster can feed 4-6 hungry souls in an instant. Every Friday – Sunday, you can get this for FREE by doing the #ThreeCheesePounderChallenge, if you can devour this in 3 minutes or less. They will even throw in an additional PHP 1000 gift certificate for the first 10 to complete the seemingly impossible challenge. To this writing, many have tried to conquer this food beast but the burger has triumphed over and over. But don’t fret, they say many have gotten close. And you can still order this as a meal to enjoy and not go under the pressure of competitive eating!
