Are you that hip longing for some nip and sip in one food trip? Or are you that someone who just needs a zip and a busy life’s skip? Then get a grip as we introduce one of the newest blip along the Visayas Avenue strip.

Grub Hub! The newest food park.

Behind each booming zone in the metro comes its very basic necessity, that of satisfying our palate. Food stalls trundles through the vicinity from the usual fast-food chains to local eateries to the rare and even to the clandestine spots. With this type of business already a bloodbath, how does one bestride the complex yet ever growing competition? Well, the astute response is the thrive of food parks and crawls.

With the emergence of these collectives, what makes this park shy away from the mainstream? Hmm… how’s Mang Larry’s Isawan as an appetizer to this gastronomical experience? ‘Bet you already have aperitive chuckles in this seminal discovery. The foodiestation was ecstatic too, who won’t be right?

But wait, this is a food park; there are other assortments of food kiosks wrangled together in a very comfy and contemporary space for your eating desire.

Grub Hub’s 16 food stations showcasing distinct international cuisines including that from an ex-‘Aubergine’ chef can definitely beast with the best out there. Four more stalls will be adding up the roster soon. With all the food selections for you to enjoy and make merry, it’s no brainer not to regale oneself as well to their centralized array of cocktails and beers while enjoying the millennial vibes and ambience.

Air-conditioned Green House Bar and Dining Area

There are three themed sections which comprise this 1,600sqm food park. The air-conditioned Greenhouse Bar and Dining Area can accommodate up to 150 gourmands while the other two, Al Fresco Junkyard and Hippieyard Area, lodge additional 100 seats. The latter two are open areas, and yeah, open to smokers too.

To add fillip, the place is domesticated animals friendly! So pet owners, worry not as you can already bring your beloved furry friends with you during sudden crave for some food tripping or during weekend hang-outs.

Oh by the way, just in case you’re wondrin’ if this place is just apt for the yuppies and casual socials, nah, it’s pervasively providing all dining needs. The park opens at 11am thus catering the lunch crowd for families too and closes at 11pm from Sundays thru Thursdays, and extends up to 2am for the weekends.

The farthermost portion of the park houses a couple of huts for groups who wants a little more seclusion. In this area also stages entertainment from startup performers, bands and standup comedians (check website for schedule).

The food prices vary from Php10 up to Php250, so not much of a discordance from your specific appetite need. A bottle of beer values at Php55 while the bucket of six is charged at Php310. Pretty reasonable though even for a cozy place like this.

For your anticipation, the owners plan of hosting movie nights, visual art sessions and other cool events to even spice up their customers experience.

As for those non-commuters, the area including its neighboring establishments offer around 30 plus parking slots, for free! Oh by the way, this commercial establishment was founded by a former 89.9 junior radio jock who is still in his collegiate years – Jamo Baron. He comes from a business inclined family who’s into food catering and convenience stores. He is currently taking up Business Management at the Ateneo de Manila University.
